The No. 3 player in the MWC Wire Top 25 Basketball Countdown is Nevada forward Jordan Caroline.
Caroline enters his third and final season in Reno after opting out of the NBA Draft in the spring. Caroline, a 6-7 forward, averaged 17.7 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game last year. Caroline started 36 of his 37 appearances and averaged 34.9 minutes a night. He began his collegiate career with Southern Illinois.
Simeon Rice’s son joined the Martin twins in the conference’s first team, voted on by the league’s media. He’s just the 34th player since 1993 to return to school after averaging at least 17 points, eight rebounds, and two assists per game as a junior.
