MWC Wire Top 25 Countdown: #9 Lavelle Scottie
The No. 9 player in the MWC Wire Top 25 Basketball Countdown is Air Force forward Lavelle Scottie.
Scottie broke out last year for the Air Force Academy, appearing in the starting five a total of 28 times, leading the Falcons in scoring at 12.2 points per game. He was the sole AFA player to finish the season with a double figure scoring average.
Now a junior, Scottie looks to take lead of Dave Pilipovichs’ squad. The Texas native does a little bit of everything, and expects to carry the bulk of the offensive load in Clune Arena this season. Don’t be surprised if Scottie makes a run for the all-conference team in the spring.
