MWC Wire Top 25 Countdown: #4 Cody Martin
The No. 4 player in the MWC Wire Top 25 Basketball Countdown is Nevada forward Cody Martin.
Cody Martin, one half of Nevada’s heralded Martin twin duo, checks in as the fourth-ranked player in this year’s countdown. Martin averaged 14.0 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 1.7 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game last season – his first in a Wolf Pack uniform.
Martin transferred over from North Carolina State after his sophomore year and immediately became one of the top players in the Mountain West. Martin’s defensive prowess earned him the title of the conference’s defensive player of the year. Now back in Reno after declaring for the NBA Draft in the spring, Martin has his eyes set on guiding Nevada deep into the NCAA Tournament.
