MWC Wire Top 25 Countdown: #21 Alex Hobbs
The No. 21 player in the MWC Wire Top 25 Basketball Countdown is Boise State junior guard Alex Hobbs.
Hobbs enters his junior season having averaged 8.7 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game over 32 appearances last year. With Boise State moving on from seniors Chandler Hutchison and Lexus Williams, we anticipate the 6-4 guard will carry a much larger workload in ’18-19.
Hobbs’ effectiveness coming off the bench led to receiving the conference’s Sixth Man of the Year award. However, this season, it’s anticipated that the Texas product will start from day one and become a bigger part of the BSU offense.
- 21) Alex Hobbs, Boise State
- 22) Trey Porter, Nevada
- 23) Zach Haney, Boise State
- 24) Nate Grimes, Fresno State
- 25) Noah Robotham, UNLV
