There is a new way to determine NCAA Tournament bids

The NCAA Tournament selection committee has made some changes to how they select teams. Gone are the days of only using RPI only to determine fine team is worthy. (Read our intro here)
These changes weigh road and home games differently and four RPI groups, plus KenPom, RPI and BPI are metrics, too.

There was a big game Wednesday night with Boise State hosting WAC darling Grand Canyon and the the Broncos were taken to the brink but ended up winning in double over time to improve to 10-1 (Boise State is 9-1 in D1 games). This victory for Boise State would be considered a Group 4 victory as their RPI is just 199. However, this win gave the Broncos a big jump in the RPI up 12 spots, and its RPI is nearing top-100 status.
Fresno State played Arkansas-Pine Bluff and won last night, but they are RPI 349 and that dropped the Bulldogs from a 66th RPI rating to 111.
