Boise State closes gap on Utah State
The Week 12 power rankings are the final ones heading into the regular season set of games. The top six teams do remain the same this week but Utah State lost a good number of first-place votes after it struggled against Colorado State, but the Aggies are still at the top.
Boise State closed the gap in first-place votes with having five to Utah State’s seven and the point total was just 13 points, but a surprise in who earned a vote at the top was Fresno State.
Nevada is still squarely ahead of San Diego State and that is in part to the head-to-head win and the Aztecs lost over the weekend to Fresno State.
The big game this week is Boise State vs. Utah State which not only will secure the top spot in the power poll after Week 12 but the winner will also get to host the Mountain West title game with a shot at going to a New Year’s Six contest.
