Will every team get a spot?

The Mountain West now has seven bowl eligible teams with Wyoming upsetting Utah State and there is a possibility of eight teams. San Jose State is sitting at five wins and this weekend they face rival Fresno State at home on Black Friday.

With Nick Starkel back under center, the Spartans are a better team with him throwing the ball compared to Nick Nash. This is not a given that Fresno State will win this game and as it stands, the Spartans are a home 7-5-point underdog.

Also, even if San Jose State gets the upset win to get to six wins, it is not a given the conference will land eight teams in the post season. If the Mountain West does get eight teams in a bowl game it would be a conference record.
