Nevada and Boise State are locked in as the top two seeds for the Mountain West Tournament
Throughout the season, the Mountain West Wire staff will provide weekly men’s basketball team power rankings. The rankings are compiled by the Wire staff on a standard 1-11 ranking basis.
Composite score is a rating that shows each team’s relative strength among the other ten Mountain West teams. After total votes are tallied, each team’s point total is divided by the team with the most votes, creating a composite score. The top-ranked team will always have a perfect composite score of 1.0000.

11) San Jose State Spartans (3-24, 0-16)
—> San Jose State is down to its final two chances to win a conference game this week against Utah State and Air Force.

10) Air Force Falcons (11-17, 5-11)
—> Air Force will avoid the No. 10 seed in the Mountain West Tournament thanks to a victory over Utah State last week.

—> San Diego State has won four straight but may have to complete the season without senior forward Malik Pope, who was listed in Yahoo’s explosive report for reportedly accepting improper benefits from ASM.

—> Nevada secured its second consecutive Mountain West title with Sunday’s win over Colorado State, grabbing the top seed in March’s conference tournament. The Wolf Pack has been ranked in four consecutive weeks.
