Mountain West announces league schedule for the 2021-22 season:

A moment we’ve eagerly awaited, the Mountain West officially released their conference schedule for the 2021-22 college hoops season. As many conference pivot to 20 conference games, the Mountain West stayed at 18 games, where each teams will host 9 games, and play 9 on the road.
Premier Games:
Colorado State Vs Nevada, January 25th in Fort Collins
Nevada Vs Colorado State, February 8th in Reno
Colorado State vs San Diego State, February 5th in Fort Collins
San Diego State vs Colorado State, March 1st in San Diego
Nevada vs San Diego State, March 5th in Reno
San Diego State vs Nevada, January 8th in San Diego
The Mountain West did a tremendous job making sure all three of its At Large bid contenders played the maximum amount of times in hopes of getting them to the NCAA Tournament. We saw late last season with the “added” games that were previously postponed because of COVID-19 potentially cost the conference another tournament team or two, as Boise State suffered a gut punch to Fresno State, and Grant Sheffield broke the hearts of Colorado State fans on a buzzer beater.
Nevada plays New Mexico and Air Force once, which is two teams you don’t mind skipping a game like that — if you win it won’t help your status in the tournament, but on the other hand, you cannot lose to those teams.
The Tim Miles reunion in Colorado will have be on hold for another season, as Colorado State only faces San Jose State on the road. The Rams also won’t travel to Fresno this season.

They miss out on hosting Wyoming, and don’t travel to Air Force.
Overall, tremendous job by the Mountain West putting together a competitive schedule, where the top teams play the top teams.
