Six, seven, eight teams?

Who is going to the postseason?
With conference play heating up slowly in the Mountain West, there is now a pecking order of sorts forming and determining what teams will be going to what bowl games.
The Mountain West is going to continue to beat up each other in this league. With the competition so tight and even amongst the league there will be some teams that are probably good enough for a bowl game but get left out when they are snake-bitten by a three-win team.
Hawaii is a team that is still on the outside looking even after its upset win over Fresno State. The Warriors need to win seven games since they have 13 on their schedule. Also, the quarterback situation is not looking good with Chevan Corderio out for maybe a month.
The Warriors rolling out Brayden Schager at quarterback isn’t ideal as he went 11 of 27 for just 116 yards but he did throw a pair of touchdowns. To stay in bowl contention, Hawaii will need Cordero back soon but also hope that Dae Dae Hunter can run as he did against Fresno State as he finished with 127 yards.
San Jose State is the other team that is on the lower end of possibly making a bowl game. QB Nick Starkel is hurt but they did get the win over the weekend against Mountain West affiliate member — or so it seems — New Mexico State.
We are sitting at eight teams at the moment but odds are with the parody within the league it might drop to six or seven once the dust settles and bowl game invites are handed out.
