The Big Stories
- The Mountain West media reveals its projected order of finish, preseason all-conference team, and individual players of the year.
- Commissioner Craig Thompson talks with Blue Turf Sports.
- Thompson notes that a majority of Mountain West teams have done good work getting their athletes vaccinated against COVID, which could be a big deal in the fall. Vaccinated players also won’t need to test, and those that don’t could put a financial burden on the athletic department for their choice.
- No games will be postponed in 2021. If a team isn’t ready to play for COVID-related reasons, they will forfeit.
- With reports out that Texas and Oklahoma have reached out about joining the SEC, what could it mean for the Mountain West if that comes to pass?
- Nearly everyone is looking forward to a return to normalcy [WDRB]
