KenPom Preseason Rankings: Nevada Checks In At No. 6


Nevada leads the way in the new season’s KenPom rankings

The Wolf Pack is sixth in the preseason ladder

The preseason KenPom rankings were released overnight Friday, pegging Nevada atop the Mountain West at No. 6 nationally.

The complete Mountain West rankings are below:

6) Nevada
65) San Diego State
110) Fresno State
111) Boise State
120) New Mexico
145) Wyoming
146) UNLV
170) Utah State
173) Colorado State
212) Air Force
325) San Jose State

In addition to its lofty national ranking, Nevada also projects to own the most efficient offense in the country. No other Mountain West team ranks in the top 80 in projected adjusted offensive efficiency.

Nevada, which reached the Sweet Sixteen in March, finished the season at No. 25 in KenPom. San Diego State (50th), Boise State (61st), and Fresno State (79th) also placed in the top 100 at season’s end.

The 2018-19 regular season begins Tuesday, November 6.
