The Mountain West title game is here and it is poised to be a good one with Fresno State traveling to Boise State for the right to not only win a title but also go to the Jimmy Kimmel Bowl.
The last time these two teams met, the Broncos won 40-20 but it was a different Fresno State team that did not have first-team Mountain West quarterback Jake Haener.
This matchup features one of the best defenses in the country with Boise State and they are going up against a potent Fresno State offense.
These are the top two scoring offenses in the conference and the Broncos defense allowed the fewest points in the conference by allowing just 13.3 points per game.

This is the fourth time that these two teams will have met in the Mountain West title game with the Broncos winning two of three.
Besides this being a title game it is a rivalry game with it being the Battle of the Milk Can, but that trophy is not on the line this game with it being a title game. That just makes this championship game even more bitter.
This game is going to be back and forth and very much could come down to the final possession as it has the last two times these programs met each other in the Mountain West Championship game.

A few key players to watch for each game are:
Jake Haener, Fresno State, Quarterback Haener is 8-2 and the two losses came to a last-second defeat to Oregon State and to USC the game Haener went down. Since Haener returned this season he has thrown for over 300 yards in four out of the five games and has thrown 13 touchdowns and only two interceptions.
JL Skinner, Boise State, Safety
Skinner will be playing his last game on The Blue and has been a defensive leader for the past two seasons. He should be well rested after being ejected in the fiesta half of last week’s game for an illegal hit. Finishing second on the team in tackles (58) and first in interceptions (4), Skinner’s presence on the field can make any player nervous, and with Haener playing this time around, the secondary will be tested.
