What are the oddsmakers saying about these match ups?

Early in the week we will look at odds and early lines and make our best picks and bets. Odds courtesy of  BetMGM Sportsbook.

Make sure to read until the end to read how to test your knowledge against me all season long in making some bets.

Last week my picks went 3-3 after the cancellation of the Air Force-Army game. And I’m 8-9 on my picks this season. Let’s see if we can get above .500 this week.

Colorado State @ Boise state (-13, O/U 61.5)

Colorado State is coming off an impressive win in the Border War against Wyoming. Boise State is coming off of a rough outing against BYU. There’s questions as to the health of some Boise State players. I believe Addazio keeps the momentum rolling enough to cover the spread, but not necessarily to win.

Pick: Colorado State +13

Fresno State @ Utah State (+10.5, O/U 55.5)

Fresno State has been on a roll since an opening week loss to Hawaii. Utah State has struggled out of the gate and let head coach Gary Andersen go this past week. There’s still going to be an adjustment period for the Aggies and Fresno State will take advantage and cover.

Pick: Fresno State -10.5

Hawaii @ San Diego State (-11.5, O/U 51.5)

Hawaii is an up and down team at the moment. San Diego State is coming off an upset loss to San Jose State. Hawaii will put up a fight and get some points, but their defense will let them down here. The Aztecs will look to avoid another upset, but won’t be able to do enough to cover the spread.

Pick: Hawaii +11.5

Nevada @ New Mexico (+17.5, O/U 61.5)

Even though this is a home game for the Lobos, this game will be played in Las Vegas. Nevada has been absolutely crushing it after a close call in week one. New Mexico shook off the rust against Hawaii but will be without their starting quarterback Tevaka Tuioti due to a concussion. Nevada’s strong passing game and New Mexico’s weak passing defense makes this a great cover opportunity for the Wolf Pack.

Pick: Nevada -17.5

UNLV @ San Jose State (-14.5, O/U 58.5)

UNLV has been steadily improving since a week one blowout to San Diego State. San Jose State is red hot after an upset victory over San Diego State. I’m not sure I’m ready to believe that San Jose State is making that turn as a team. If they can this week, I’ll start by betting to cover. But in the meantime take the over here.

Pick: Over
