Who is the Mountain West’s best?
Mountain West basketball media days are this week where the league and media will predict the all-league team, order of finish and other awards. We do have our lead basketball writer Eli Boettger live from Las Vegas covering the event so give him a follow on twitter.
Before the media releases its all-league picks our staff predicts the first- and second-teams heading into the year. We already have our top 25 countdown going on right now, but below is our all-league teams.
The process for this was to take the best players regardless of position.
Nevada led the way with not only having the player of the year but they land three players on the first-team which is the most overall. San Diego State comes in next with a player on the first-and second-teams. Overall, Air Force, Fresno State, UNLV and Wyoming earn a player on this list. That leaves off a player from New Mexico, San Jose State, Boise State, and Colorado State.
Coach of the year:
Eric Musselman, Nevada

Caleb Martin, Forward, Nevada
