Every Mountain West team has played at least one game and now we can sort of start to have a conversation about who is good or not good in the Mountain West. There are still teams we are unsure of since a few squads played an FCS team which give no real sense of a team.
The prior power rankings had five teams earn a first-place vote but that has been paired down to just Boise State and Fresno State earning a first-place vote, but it was the Broncos who were the overwhelming favorite after its easy road win over Troy.
The two teams that made the biggest jump and fall belong to Hawaii which moved up from six to third and it was Colorado State who dropped the same number of spots from eighth to 11th after they were blown out against rival Colorado.
