There are a few lines that are huge
In Week 8 there were five of the six lines with double digits but that isn’t how things turned out. In Week 9 there are three double-digit lines among the six games and three total games are road favorites.
Wyoming at Colorado State (-2.5)
This game will feature at least one new starting quarterback with Collin Hill getting the nod over K.J. Carta-Samuels. However, on the Wyoming side, there could be a switch with Sean Chambers over Tyler Vander Waal. Chambers came in late in the game against Utah State and showed a spark for the offense that included rushing for 100 yards.
On top of the quarterback drama is that this game is a rivalry game with the Bronze Boot on the line this Friday night. This game is basically a pick’em really but the key matchup will be the Wyoming defense against the Colorado State offense.
New Mexico at Utah State (-21)
This line is huge but the Aggies are 4-2 against the spread this year and were nearly 5-1 but the BYU win was two points off from covering the 27-point spread. Utah State should cover this game because when New Mexico faces a team with a solid defense its offense slows down and can’t do enough to score points.
UNLV at San Jose State (+1.5)
This one is interesting for a few reasons. San Jose State had been playing much better and nearly upset San Diego State last week. UNLV is still with quarterback Max Gilliam who should up better last week, as did the running game, against Air Force.
If Gilliam plays like he did against the Falcons then the Rebels probably will win this game but with the small sample size, the line is about right with the Rebels being a small favorite.
Boise State at Air Force (+10)
With how these two teams have played since joining the Mountain West any line is risky for either side. The Broncos are the favorite since it seems like that they have turned things back around after its dominant win over Colorado State.
Also, Air Force is having quarterback issues with presumed started Donald Hammond III still hurt, but Isaiah Sanders played extremely well against UNLV. It is not really a quarterback issue but rather who will start for the Falcons at quarterback.

Hawaii at Fresno State (-24.5)
This is a huge line but also one that could easily take Fresno State and the points. Hawaii’s offense has slowed down a bit and then couple that with the Bulldogs having a really good defense which adds an extra layer of trouble for this Warriors team.
Then looking at the other side of the ball, Fresno State’s offense will have very few issues moving the ball against a Hawaii’s defense which has allowed 40 points in three of the past four games.
San Diego State at Nevada (+2.5)
This will be a very interesting game. San Diego State is still playing with backups at quarterback and running back. Starting QB Christian Chapman is on the roster but he is only going to play if the first three get injured, or in other words, he is not playing.
The Aztecs could be in trouble if they struggle like they did against San Jose State this past week, and Nevada is a better team than the Spartans.
As for Nevada, they have been playing better of late with a near upset of Boise State and then easily defeating Hawaii at Aloha Stadium. Any Wolf Pack team could show up but if the good Nevada makes an apperance then this will be close game which the line refelcts.
