Air Force at Boise State

Recap (Erik Smiley): If this game is any indication of what the Mountain was slate has in store for us, this is going to be an incredible season. The Broncos were able to hold off the Air Force upset bid by putting together a great second half. Although they gave up their first points in the 2nd half on the year, Boise State was able to get three touchdowns (with extra point blocked) to get the 11 point victory and extend the win streak to three against the Falcons.
The offensive line was able to give Hank Bachmeier some better protection (meaning he wasn’t hit 16 times in the first half) and he was able to put up 263 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions. After struggling for the first three quarters, the running game was able to be efficient enough to eat up some clock in the fourth, while Robert Mahone found the end zone twice to put the game away. It was a great victory for the Broncos and they are continuing to improve getting into their conference schedule.
Wyoming at Tulsa

Recap (Ryan Martinez): Questions about the Wyoming offense were left unanswered in Saturday’s loss to the Golden Hurricane, but there was no doubting the fight in the Cowboys at the end of the contest. After being hit with a handful of injuries in the first half, losing running backs Trey Smith and Titus Swen to lower leg injuries in the first half, it’s hard to know if the Wyoming offense sputtered after a strong opening-drive score because of personnel or if that is just the identity of this squad.
Quarterback Sean Chambers almost found a way to keep Wyoming undefeated, anyway, leading two fourth quarter scoring drives before fumbling on a scramble toward the end zone with under a minute left. Chambers ended the day with 193 yards in the air on 9-of-25 passing and 83 more on the ground.

Recap (Matthew Kenerly): If you were expecting another wild iteration of the Rio Grande Rivalry, you weren’t disappointed on Saturday: The Aggies and Lobos combined for 1,087 yards of total offense, but UNM survived a late NMSU rally for the win.
Jerrick Reed II’s pick-six opened the scoring and proved to be crucial, but Tevaka Tuioti’s first start of the season was the big shot in the arm the offense really needed. He completed 16 of 28 passes for 355 yards with three touchdowns through the air and combined with running back Ahmari Davis for 192 rushing yards on 35 carries.
