In week two of the college football season, the Mountain West did a little better going 8-3. UNLV and Colorado are still bringing up the rear, New Mexico continues to surprise at 2-0, Boise State took out their frustration on UTEP, and San Diego State showed they shouldn’t be counted out.

Last week week we went 7-4. Let’s see if we can get a perfect week.

New Mexico @ #7 Texas A&M (-30, O/U 50.5)

New Mexico faces a step up in competition after their first two weeks. And they didn’t look as strong as we would’ve liked. I’m going to take the under here just because I don’t like lines this large, they let me down a lot (see Arizona State from last week).

Pick: Under

NEVADA @ Kansas State (+2, O/U 50.5)

This game is going to be a lot like the Cal game for Nevada. It’ll be a close game throughout, but with the difference in offensive output, Nevada’s defense should be enough to carry them over the top of the Wildcats.

Ball State @ Wyoming (-7, O/U 53.5)

This game is a tough call. We don’t really know much about Ball State this year after an FCS win and demolishing by Penn State. They’ve had some success through the air this season, but would prefer to have a balanced approach. This game could be a barn burner. Take the over.

Colorado State @ TOLDEO (-14.5, O/U 58.5)

I’m writing this article and the only reason I’m touching this game is because I have to. Colorado State has shown absolutely nothing for three halves this season. They were great in the first half against Vanderbilt and then shut down in the second half.

UTAH @ SAN DIEGO STATE (+9, O/U 44.5)

I haven’t really been that inspirsed by Utah to justify this being a nine point line. San Diego State absolutely demolished Arizona last week. Yes Utah is better, but the Aztecs are still Pac-12 kryptonite. Take the Aztecs to cover.
