The Mountain West isn’t having a great start to the year. We are 12-15 on picks for the year after going 4-7 in back to back weeks. Not a great start for picks and definitely not a great start for the Mountain West.

Air Force @ Wyoming (+15, O/U 46.5)

Even giving up three fumbles against Colorado, Air Force was able to cover the spread comfortably. This is a league game and somewhat of a rivalry (Mr. Howdy Doody for those that remember). Air Force has been on a tear to start the season. Wyoming has won two in a row, but not convincingly enough to warrant a cover here.

North Texas @ UNLV (-2.5, O/U 63.5)

We saw what UNLV could be like against Cal last week with the Rebels having a chance to put the Bears away but couldn’t finish. This week UNLV welcomes North Texas to Allegiant Stadium. Both offenses are averaging 33 points a game. The shootout is coming. UNLV defense still needs to show something, but this game is all about the offenses.

Pick: Over

UT Martin @ Boise State (-21, O/U 52.5)

Boise State held New Mexico to 123 yards of total offense and the Lobos still got a push on the spread by scoring a late kickoff return touchdown. UT Martin has been averaging 503 yard of offense per game. Boise will be able to bring that down, but the offense is going to suffer again and not cover.

Colorado State @ Washington State (-17, O/U 54)

The Rams looked lost last week against Middle Tennessee as a kick-off favorite of 14 points. Washington State hasn’t looked the best on offense, but their defense has stepped and led them to two wins, including one over 19th ranked Wisconsin. We’ll see if the Cougars offense breaks out against the Rams, but the under feels like the best bet here.
