Early in the week we will look at odds and early lines and make our best picks and bets. Odds courtesy of BetMGM Sportsbook.

Last week my picks went 1-3 after the cancellation of three games. And I’m 13-16 on my picks this season. Let’s see if we can get above .500 this week.

AIR Force @ UTAH State (+10.5, O/U 50.5)

Let’s just be real here. Air Force is going to win this game. Yes, Utah State got their first win last week, but it was against New Mexico. Air Force didn’t play last week and will be looking to finish strong this season. Utah State had their starting running back transfer out. That’s a recipe for the under to hit for me.

Pick: Under

Boise State @ UNLV (+28, O/U 60.5)

I don’t like large spread picks like this. But I think this is one I will take. Boise State has shown they are still one of the top teams in the Mountain West. UNLV still has some work to do. UNLV is losing by an average of just under 22 points a game this season. The Broncos have enough firepower on offense and stopping power on defense to cover this spread.

Pick: Boise State -28

San Jose State @ Hawaii (+6, O/U 59.5)

A last minute venue change should make for an interesting matchup. San Jose State’s defense has been great this year. Allowing just over 15 points a game this year. Hawaii showed last week against Nevada that their defense can be just as a strong. I’m expecting a defensive battle on the islands.

Pick: Under

Colorado State @ San diego state (-8.5, O/U 47.5)

Let’s see if this game happens. But if it does, I’m taking the under in this matchup. Both the Rams and Aztecs have been stout against the run this year. The difference will come down to the passing game. This game will more than likely be a defensive battle with both teams forcing each other to pass.

Pick: Under

Fresno state @ Nevada (-7, O/U 58.5)

This should be an interesting matchup because it has potential Mountain West championship implications. This will be the Bulldogs first game in three weeks, so they’ll be fresher than the Wolf Pack. Nevada will be out for revenge after losing at Hawaii last week. Expect some fireworks here.

Pick: Over

Wyoming @ New Mexico (+15.5, O/U 54.5)

New Mexico is not winning this game. If it happens it will be one of the biggest upsets in recent Mountain West history. Wyoming is just too strong of a defensive squad. And New Mexico will be starting a walk-on at quarterback. That’s a dangerous combination and one that makes me strongly believe in this pick.

Pick: Wyoming -15.5
