Week 12 Mountain West Quarterback Rankings
The same guy at the top but there is some movement.

Another week of solid QB play.
Another week of Mountain West football games in Week 11 not get played and there are also now three games canceled for the upcoming Week 12. This does make these rankings a bit more interesting when the number of games played is quite different and the overwhelming majority is not due to injuries.
One note we made last week that we won’t remove a player with them not playing due to injury or COVID-19 until it reaches multiple games.
This means that Boise State quarterback Hank Bachmeier that missed two games was removed from the rankings will be back in the poll this week. We will be removing New Mexico’s Tevaka Tuioti as his status for Friday night’s Air Force game is up in the air due to a concussion he recently suffered.
The best quarterback in the league is taking place with Nevada’s Carson Strong sling-arming his way to the top, but look out for San Jose State’s Nick Starkel and Fresno State’s Jake Haener.

N/A. Tevaka Tuioti (LW: 8)
With his status TBD, we felt it was only right to pull him back if he misses his second straight game due to an injury. If he plays, Tuioti will be back in the rankings and where he deserves. He has four touchdowns to just one interception but he is just completing 56.1% of his passes.
11. Utah State QB (LW: 11)
This position is up for grabs but odds are it will ultimately go to Andrew Peasley as Jason Shelley is no longer on the team and had there been a game this week, it would have been freshman Cooper Legas as Peasley was out with COVID-19. Plan for the Aggies starter to be at the bottom for a while and maybe for the rest of the season.
10. Haaziq Daniels – Air Force (LW: 10)
There is no official word if Daniels will be back on the field after the Falcons missed the last two games. Daniels was pulled out due to injury a few weeks ago but did not return to the game. He is listed as the starter vs. New Mexico so all signs he is back as the starter Play well, and he will move up a few spots.
9. Carson Baker – San Diego State (LW: 7)
4 of 13, 30 yards and two interceptions. This is why Baker drops a few spots in the rankings and even behind UNLV’s situation due to production. This week was likely a blip on the radar and better days ahead.
8. Justin Rogers – UNLV (LW: 9)
Rogers was put in the lineup over Max Gilliam and played well this past week vs. San Jose State by completing 12 of 18 for 162 yards and a touchdown. With no Rebels game this week it is an unknown how well Rogers would play as the presumed starter.
7. Levi Williams – Wyoming (LW: 6)
Wyoming did not play last week with no game last week vs. Air Force and now there is one game this week. Williams so far this year has just one touchdown in three games but he has had some success on the ground with three rushing scores.
6. Patrick O’Brien – Colorado State (LW: 4)
The Rams QB situation seems settled on O’Brien after trying to be tricky by playing Todd Centeio. Also, playing against Boise State can make a lot of signal-callers look bad and O’Brien struggled by completing under 50% of his passes on 9 of 20 for just 140 yards and an interception. Perhaps putting him at No. 6 was too high.
