Week 10 Mountain West Quarterback Rankings
Multiple QBs played makes this a tough list.

A new set of rankings.
Most teams in the league have played at least two games this year so one would think that we would have more data but don’t be so sure. Multiple teams have played more than one quarterback so these rankings are morphing a little bit into quarterback units.

12. Jason Shelley – Utah State (LW: 10)
This one is not even close. Shelley has yet to eclipse 100 yards in either of his starts and his status as the starting quarterback has to be getting shorter and shorter. Gary Andersen has tested the waters with redshirt freshman Andrew Peasley but to limited success.
11. Max Gilliam – UNLV (LW: 12)
This might be a touch low since Gilliam showed up vs. Nevada as he completed 27 of 40 passes for 207 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He does seem to have a stranglehold on the starting job and could be one to move up in the next few weeks.
10. Haaziq Daniels – Air Force (LW: 7)
Daniels was pulled from the Falcons game against Boise State but it was due to injury. From what we have seen he is a decent quarterback running the ball and this option offense but more needs to be seen to move him up.
9. Todd Centeio/Patrick O’Brien – Colorado State (LW: 9)
This ranking is due to head coach Steve Addazio out thinking himself by going with the more athletic Todd Centeio over Patrick O’Brien. When O’Brien entered the game vs. Fresno State, he promptly went 7 of 10. Making O’Brien the starter going forward is the right move and shoot this unit up the charts.
8. Carson Baker – San Diego State (LW: 6)
Baker is a typical SDSU quarterback and that is good and bad. The Aztecs running game looks to be back and that eases the pressure so Baker does not need to be Ryan Lindley 2.0 but if he can be Christian Chapman that will be enough for the Aztecs to be in contention for the Mountian West title game.
So far, Baker is playing clean football but not amazing football as a quarterback.
7. Tevaka Tuioti – New Mexico (LW: 11)
This is one of the more interesting rankings because not much is expected for New Mexico but Tuioti is throwing the ball very well through just one game and if he can use that and mix in his legs that might lead the Lobos to a victory or two more than expected.
6. Chevan Cordeiro – Hawaii (LW: 3)
Two games and two very different results for Chevan Cordeiro. He moved the ball well in the air and in the ground but not so much in game two. Also, it should be noted the Cordeiro has not thrown a touchdown through two games, and that is shocking with what was expected for a Hawaii offense.
Through two games, Cordeiro also is completing just 54.4% of his passes and 339 total yards.
