San Diego State clinches an NCAA Tournament bid with its win over New Mexico
Mountain West Wire has named its 2018 all-tournament team. The five best players from the weekend at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas is below.

Trey Kell took over down the stretch for San Diego State, knocking down a number of huge buckets for the Aztecs. Kell finished the championship game with 28 points, two rebounds, and three assists.
New Mexico big man Joe Furstinger scored a career-high 23 points in UNM’s win over Wyoming in the tournament quarterfinals. He scored in double figures in each of the three tournament matchups.
Malik Pope also played big for San Diego State, he had 16 points, five rebounds and a number of huge players in the paint for the Aztecs in the tournament final.
Nevada’s Jordan Caroline averaged 23.0 points per game, 10.0 rebounds per game, and 4.0 assists per game in his two Mountain West Tournament games against UNLV and San Diego State.
Sam Merrill of Utah State averaged 18.7 points per game in his three tournament games. Merrill went a combined 10-18 from deep against Boise State and New Mexico.
The Mountain West released its all-league team and it was slightly different than ours.
