The Mountain West tournament’s quarterfinal round gets underway and it all gets started for an early evening game between New Mexico and Wyoming.

The Lobos are in its first game while the Cowboys are coming off a 74-61 game in the opening round of the conference tournament, and were led by a perfect performance from the field by Justin James.

New Mexico is not only well rested but have been on a solid winning streak and own two victories of Wyoming this year. Both games have been close including the most recent matchup where the teams combined for well over 200 ponts, so buckle up and get ready for this one.

WHY THE Cowboys WILL WIN

Wyoming has the best player in the game in junior guard Justin James. James scored 24 points against San Jose State in the first round while not missing a shot in the game.
