Bulldogs vs. Broncos title game is the media pick.

The Mountain West released its media selection’s for the order of finish and division champions, and it was not all that close for either side. Boise State was a non-shocking unanimous decision to win the Mountain Division by claiming all 22 first-place votes and to a minor surprise, it was Wyoming that came in second and that was followed by a close voting between Colorado State and then Utah State.

In the West Division, Fresno State ran away it as well by earning 16 of those first-place votes and the other six going to San Diego State. The difference in the Bulldogs getting the nod over the Aztecs is partly due to losing Rashaad Penny at running back and a few defenders on defense. While Fresno State brings back nearly everyone from a 10-win season.

For comparison interests, our staff’s order of finish was different at the top with San Diego State narrowly topping Fresno State by just one point. The two did split first-place votes as well.

The Mountain Division was the same at the top but a flip between Wyoming and Colorado State which we had the Rams second and the Cowboys third. Plus, it was much closer between those three schools from second to fourth.
