The Mountain West announced a partnership Thursday tying Stadium and Facebook together to broadcast 12 live Mountain West men’s basketball games for the 2017-18 season.
The first Facebook-only broadcast took place on Saturday, November 11, as UNLV crushed Florida A&M 108-66. According to a press release, the matchup notched over 500,000 viewers on the Facebook stream.
The full 12-game slate is below.
UNLV and Nevada both appear on the schedule twice more during the regular season. Six of the matchups are during non-conference play, two more are during league play (Wyoming at New Mexico on January 10 and Utah State and Boise State on January 17) as well as the entire first round Mountain West Tournament schedule on March 7.
Stadium and Facebook have previously worked together to broadcast Mountain West football games this season. The six-game package welcomed 4.5 million viewers including 1.3 million viewers for the New Mexico-New Mexico State matchup on September 9.
“We are proud to work with Stadium, Facebook and our member institutions as we develop new and innovative ways to share MW basketball with fans around the world,” said Mountain West Commissioner Craig Thompson.
In addition to Stadium-Facebook broadcasts, Stadium will continue to broadcast live Mountain West men’s basketball games throughout the season.
