The Daily Hike has been an off-and-on feature (mostly off) but it is back with a lot of little news bits around the Mountain West. So, it is back and our goal is to keep it going on a consistent basis to provide that Mountain West news that might not be worthy of a full-on article.
Expect a lot of Iowa State fans at game vs. UNLV [Des Moines Register]
Allegiant Air has opened up a second flight to bring in Cyclones fans to the Sept. 18 game vs. UNLV. The airline is also the namesake of where the Rebels play football. The assumption is that fans will be allowed — with no limit — and in usual UNLV football fashion, it is the road teams that show up for a good time in Sin City.

“It will be important for us to get as close to normalized operations as possible,” CSU athletic director Joe Parker said. “We’re planning right now for full occupancy of all of our venues. We’ll see if there are any restrictions that are required. But the news that we’re seeing … shows things getting really good in June, July, and hopefully, beyond that.
“We’re right now filling the venue with season ticket sales, individual game sales and mini-plans; without any plans of physically distancing in the stadium.”
