Colorado State Plays Best Game Of Season In 85-53 Blowout Of Air Force
It took a quick bus ride down I-25 to the Air Force Academy for Colorado State to get its groove back. The Rams lead wire to wire in their most complete performance of the year to blow out Air Force 85-53 on Saturday for their first road conference win of the season.
A team effort is what the Colorado State win over Air Force can be characterized as. Impressive defense, domination in the paint and a transition game that left Air Force scrambling for answers.
The Rams defense held with the Falcons offense to 11 points in the first 11 minutes coming out of halftime. Overall, the Rams held the Falcons to 32% from the field. Colorado State lead by as many as 35 points and the victory was the largest for the Rams against the Falcons in Colorado Springs.
“What a great performance, hard to complain about much,” stated Colorado State Niko Medved after the game.

Colorado State was lead by junior center Nico Carvacho who had yet another double – double (20 pts, 14 rebs). Carvacho also became the second leading rebounder in Colorado State history. Three other Rams players were in double figures including junior guard Anthony Masinton-Bonner (16),senior guard J.D. Paige (10) and freshman guard Kendle Moore (10). Perhaps the most impressive stat on the day for the Rams, they finished 12-17 from the free-throw line.
