The season is over and there will be a lot more roster turnover with the transfer portal, new talent from the February signing day, and then the portal again once spring football wraps up and some players aren’t happy with how the depth chart plays out.
There has already been a lot of movement with transfers within the conference and more will come over the next few months. So, these teams will change how they look and these rankings likely could change with that movement.
There have been coaching changes within the league and it should be noted that these rankings were compiled before Todd Graham stepped down as Hawaii’s head coach.
These rankings are all subjective with how some vote, there are some who will put Utah State No. 1 as they are the defending champions and will stay there through the offseason, a major change within the roster, or just wait until the first week of games.
The Aggies do take the top spot just narrowly over Fresno State by just a single vote. Utah State earned three of the 13 first-place votes compared to the Bulldogs seven. However, the lowest ranking for the Aggies was a trio of fourth-place votes.
The top five is extremely close with just 13 total points separting those spots, and overall, four teams earned at least one first-place vote. Oddly, Air Force which is third in the poll had zero votes as the leagues best team but had enough top-end votes to claim their spot.
