What are the oddsmakers saying about these match ups?
Late in the week we will look at odds and recent lines and make our best picks and bets. Odds courtesy of Vegas Insider.
In week 12 of the college football season, the Mountain West threw out some surprises. UNLV gave San Diego State a fight, Air Force and Nevada went to triple overtime, and Hawaii-CSU turned into a shootout.
Last week we went 1-4 and we are 36-39 overall for the season. Up and down all season, lets see if we can get back on track.
Fresno State @ San Jose State (+7.5, O/U 52.5)
Fresno State still has an outside shot at claiming the West division crown here. Expect them to give it their all. A Thanksgiving Day kickoff makes for an interesting game. The Spartans may give a fight, but I expect the Bulldogs to cover as they look to advance to the Mountain West Championship
Pick: Fresno State -7.5
Boise State @ #21 San Diego State (+2.5, O/U 44.5)
Boise State’s offense has come alive in recent weeks. They still struggle at times though and San Diego State will take advantage when they do. San Diego State needs to win if they want to advance to the Mountain West championship. This will be a dogfight especially with a 9am Pacific Time kickoff.
Pick: San Diego State +2.5

Utah State @ NEw MExico (+16, O/U 49.5)
New Mexico is still searching for an identity at this time. Rocky Long has started making strides on defense, but the offense has a lot of work to do to catch up. Utah State’s turnaround from last year has been a masterclass by Blake Anderson. The Aggies will roll as they look to continue their momentum into next season.
Pick: Utah State -16

UNLV @ Air Force (-18, O/U 50)
An interesting matchup between these two teams. This seems like it is going to be one of those grind it out type of games. A lot of UNLV’s offense this year has come through the legs of Charles Williams. The over has a chance of hitting here, but with both teams running the ball the under seems like a good bet.
Pick: Under

Hawaii @ Wyoming (-10, O/U 48)
The battle for the Paniolo Trophy. This matchup somewhat surprisingly is a rivalry with a trophy on the line. Wyoming leads the series 15-10. Hawaii turned some heads on offense last week against Colorado State. Wyoming presents a completely different challenge though. A tough defense and little offense presents a conumdrum, but I think offense rules the day here.
Pick: Over
NEvada @ Colorado state (+4, O/U 55.5)
This seems like a really low total. Nevada is an air raid offense and Colorado State’s defensive weakness is their secondary. CSU has also shown the ability to air it out and get down the field quickly when the situation calls for it. This game will most likely evolve into a shootout with the backwards slide of the CSU defense.
Pick: Over
