We’ve reached the halfway point in the 2018-19 men’s basketball season as the Mountain West transitions into conference play.
Below are our All-Mountain West first team through the first half of the season as the well as the conference’s most surprising and most disappointing teams.
Here’s a look at our All-Mountain West team at the midway point:
- Jordan Caroline, F, Nevada (18.4 PPG, 9.9 RPG)
- Justin James, G/F, Wyoming (21.3 PPG, 9.6 RPG, 4.3 APG)
- Caleb Martin, G/F, Nevada (19.0 PPG, 5.0 RPG, 2.9 APG)
- Sam Merrill, G, Utah State (19.4 PPG, 3.6 RPG, 3.4 APG)
- Nico Carvacho, F, Colorado State (14.9 PPG, 12.9 RPG)
We also selected our most surprising and most disappointing teams:
- Most surprising: Utah State (unanimous)
- Most disappointing: New Mexico (three votes)
