Wyoming basketball has announced junior guard Justin James has entered the 2018 NBA Draft but has not hired an agent. If he chooses to withdraw his name by May 30, he can return to Wyoming for his senior season.

The Florida native averaged 18.9 points, 6 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.1 steals in 32 games for Wyoming this season. This 2017-18 season was his first year as a full-time starter.
In the 2016-17 season, James was named the MVP of the CBI tournament in which he led the Cowboys to the title over Coastal Carolina.

By not signing with an agent, James leaves the door open to return to Wyoming where he would be one of the top candidates for the 2018-19 MW Player of the Year award.
In pursuing this opportunity, James will be able to work out for NBA scouts and use the feedback to continue his path to the draft or return to school where he can continue to improve any deficiencies that might hold him back.
