The Cowboys had three players in double figures
Hayden Dalton had 22 points and nine rebounds as Wyoming came back to beat Oregon State in Corvallis by a score of 75-66 Monday night.
Dalton, who had a career night last time out with 30 points and 13 rebounds in Friday’s opening day win over Chattanooga, came out firing and had 16 of his 22 points in the first period.
Wyoming held a 40-36 advantage heading into intermission, but the Pokes lead evaporated shortly. Oregon State led by as many as six with nearly 12 minutes left in the game, but Wyoming finished the game on a 28-13 run.
Tres Tinkle, son of Oregon State head coach Wayne Tinkle, led the Beavers with 20 points, 14 rebounds and four assists. Drew Eubanks (17 points) also finished in double figures for OSU.
Wyoming forward Alan Herndon enjoyed a breakout second half. He had three blocked shots in the final seven minutes, and also connected on two late three-pointers. He finished the game with 16 points (12 of them via the three-pointer), six rebounds, and six blocks in 37 minutes of playing time.
Next up for Wyoming is a neutral matchup against South Dakota State in the Cayman Islands Classic.
