The Cowboys are looking at another week of small ball while they wait on the forwards to recover from injuries. 6’10” forward Hunter Thompson was cleared to return this week after suffering a concussion against UCSB but the team has decided they would feel more comfortable if he avoids the cross country trip to Florida and takes a some extra time to recover.
In the mean time, that will leave an undersized Pokes squad at a disadvantage against a big Boston College team.
Neither team is shooting the ball well to start the season but the Eagles hold a significant advantage in rebounding margin with +2.3/game while Wyoming is -4.2/game. The Eagles are led by one of the ACC’s top players, guard Ky Bowman. The 6’1” junior is on the preseason watchlist for the Cousy Award, Naismith Trophy, and Wooden Award.
Bowman is averaging 19.3 ppg, 7.3 rpg, and 3 apg through the Eagles first 3 games. Boston College also has one of the top 3 point shooters in the ACC in Jordan Chatman and combo guard Winston Tabbs who are both averaging 15 ppg.
