There have been no shortage of stars throughout the history of the NFL that have made their mark in the most prestigious American Football league following successful spells representing teams in the Mountain West Conference.
This year there are a growing number of players that have been able to make their dream a reality by signing for NFL sides either through the draft or a free agent. But, which stars can fans watch on the best football streaming apps this season?
John Bates
John Bates was selected in the fourth round of the NFL Draft earlier this year, as he put pen to paper on a four-year rookie contract with Washington Football Team. He was selected 124th overall after being impressive during his four-year stint at college with Boise State. He has made a good start to his career in the NFL as a tight end, as the 24-year-old has already recorded 74 receiving yards and claimed nine receptions.
Avery Williams
Bates isn’t the only Boise State star that has been gracing the NFL this season, as Avery Williams was selected in the fifth round of the draft earlier this year. He was selected at 183rd overall, as the cornerback signed for the Atlanta Falcons. Williams picked up a number of awards in 2020 for his performances at college level, including the Jet Award, the MWC Special Teams Player of the Year, and the Consensus first-team All-American. He has played a decent role for the Falcons since signing this year so far this season, as he has made 14 tackles, and recorded one fumble recovery and one pass deflection. In total, he has recorded 354 return yards this term.
Darren Hall
Darren Hall was selected at the highest of all players that played in the Mountain West Conference last season. The 21-year-old cornerback was selected in round four of the draft and 108th overall by the Atlanta Falcons. Hall played for San Diego State last season, but the team narrowly missed out in contention for a bowl game. Hall is seemingly highly regarded by the Falcons, and has already made four tackles in the NFL this season. However, the 21-year-old is yet to record a pass deflection or interception in the highest level of American Football for the Falcons.
Tre Walker
Aside from the three players mentioned, all other stars that were selected to sign for NFL franchises were picked up as undrafted free agents. One of the 13 players selected through this method was Tre Walker, who was snapped up by the Buffalo Bills. Walker was an integral part of the San Jose State team that won the Mountain West championship last season, after they beat Boise State 43-20 in the Championship Game. However, they were later beaten by Ball State in the Arizona Bowl. Walker completed 627 receiving yards last season, and recorded 45 receptions. He also finished the season with San Jose State, having scored four touchdowns, which was his second-best return during his career with the college team.
