The Spartans landed at #24 in the penultimate rankings after improving to 6-0 with a win over Nevada last Friday night. Though they are not likely to make the cut for a New Year’s Six bowl game — #23 Tulsa, #19 Louisiana, #17 BYU, #13 Coastal Carolina, and #9 Cincinnati are the Group of 5 teams ahead of San Jose State in the top 25 — it is nonetheless the latest feather in the cap for Brent Brennan, who has thr Spartans on the verge of their first outright conference title in 30 years.

The Spartans host Boise State in the Mountain West title game at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas on Saturday, December 19. The game will kick off at 1:15 PM Pacific/2:15 PM Mountain on FOX.
