Air Force plays two days later

The game between Fresno State and Air Force has been rescheduled after its previous cancelled due to the government shutdown, per release.

The two teams were slated to face off Saturday, January 20, but the United States government underwent a shutdown that caused the game to be cancelled.

In a release, the conference stated that the decision was through a “collaborative effort among the conference office and the two member institutions, windows were identified to accommodate the scheduling.”

Fresno State and Air Force will instead play on Monday, February 26 at 7pm MT at Clune Arena.

Air Force will be forced to play three games that week. In addition to the Fresno State matchup on Monday, Air Force will be in Laramie to play Wyoming on Wednesday, and will host San Jose State on that Saturday to wrap up conference play. The Falcons will then head to Las Vegas for the Mountain West tournament.

Fresno State only has one other game that week, a conference finale in Albuquerque against New Mexico.

The Air Force women’s game against Fresno State has also been rescheduled. It will be played on Monday, January 29.
