Brown will transfer to Arizona
Former Nevada forward Jordan Brown announced Friday he will transfer to Arizona, according to his Twitter page.
Brown averaged 3.0 points and 2.1 rebounds per game in his only season with the Nevada Wolf Pack. The 6-11 post appeared in 33 games, started once, and averaged 10.1 minutes a game.
The McDonald’s All-American was the highest-rated recruit in Nevada history, picking up a five-star recruiting rating distinction in every major database.
Despite his inarguable talent, Brown was played sparingly in ’18-19 on a senior-heavy Wolf Pack roster. Though his presence could have been a spark Nevada needed at times during the season, Eric Musselman usually opted to keep the talented big man on the bench.
Brown now heads to Arizona to play for Sean Miller and the Wildcats. The Pac-12 power is expected to be ranked highly in the ’19-20 preseason poll and appears more or less “back” after a chaotic ’18-19 season that was troublesome both on and off the floor.
Other notable big men who figure to play with or alongside Brown in ’20-21 include former four-star recruit Ira Lee (6.6 PPG, 4.2 RPG in ’18-19) and current four-star signee Christian Koloko.
