It was officially announced on Sunday that the Nevada Wolf Pack are in the field of 68 as the Mountain West regular season champions are NCAA tournament bound.

It was announced on Sunday that the Nevada Wolf Pack will be in the NCAA tournament. Here is a reaction of the announcement that Nevada is in the Big Dance courtesy of @NevadaHoops

The Wolf Pack were awarded the seventh seed in the tournament in the South region and will face off against the tenth seeded Texas Longhorns of the Big 12 on Friday in Nashville.

This is the Wolf Pack’s second straight trip to the NCAA tournament and this trip will have them traveling to the Music City. They will take on a Longhorns team that finished with a 19-14 record and a 8-10 record in the Big 12 conference.

The Longhorns are coached by Shaka Smart who is in his fourth year in Austin and the players to watch out for are Dylan Osetkowski (13 ppg, 7 rpg) and Mohamed Bamba (12 ppg, 10 rpg)

The time and what channel Nevada’s matchup against Texas will be determined later today.
