There is a new way to determine NCAA Tournament bids

The NCAA Tournament selection committee has made some changes to how they select teams. Gone are the days of only using RPI only to determine which teams are worthy. (Read our intro here)
These changes weigh road and home games differently and four RPI groups, plus KenPom, RPI and BPI are metrics, too.

Three teams are not likely to happen for the Mountain West, and it also currently stands that it might just be one team from the league.
Bracketologist across the web are predicting only one Mountain West team in the field of 68 and that team is usually the Nevada Wolf Pack.
However, this could change since Nevada take on Boise State this Saturday night in Reno with first-place on the line.
Over at Bracket Matrix they compile dozens of brackets and they actually have both the Broncos and Wolf Pack in the field. Of the 88 submitted brackets, Nevada is considered in all of those brackets and are an eight seed with a composite seed slightly higher at 7.78. Boise State is in just over half with 49 brackets placing them in the field and have a 10.37 seed average but puts them at 11 in the field.
It should be noted that a few brackets have San Diego State and UNLV in the tourney field.
