Today’s Fresno State-Air Force game will be cancelled until further notice

Due to the American government shutdown that went into place at midnight on Saturday morning, the Air Force Academy has cancelled its game against Fresno State until further notice, per a school release.

The game was scheduled to tip off at 1:00pm PT at Clune Arena and be televised by AT&T SportsNet. Until a solution can be reached by the American government, all Air Force home and away games have been cancelled.

The Academy has said that it will “work to reschedule as many missed events as possible” once the shutdown has concluded, per a press release.

A university source has told Mountain West Wire that the Fresno State men’s basketball team had already arrived in Colorado Springs prior to the news that the game would be cancelled.

Air Force is scheduled to play Utah State in Logan, Utah, on Wednesday, January 24. That game is also in doubt until the government ends the shutdown.
