Los Angeles will host the Mountain West champions once again.
The Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl made a strong first impression in its debut last year with unique off-field accoutrement and an exciting on-field contest to boot. It figures to be another exciting Saturday at SoFi Stadium on December 17 when the Fresno State Bulldogs, fresh off of winning the Mountain West championship game over Boise State on Saturday afternoon, will clash with the Pac-12’s Washington State Cougars. The matchup was first reported by Action Network’s Brett McMurphy.
The trip to southern California is a reward for one of college football’s most stunning turnarounds this fall, as the Bulldogs rallied from a 1-4 record in mid-October to rip off eight straight wins and claim the program’s fourth conference title. Meanwhile, the Cougars put the turmoil of previous seasons firmly in the past under head coach Jake Dickert, who guided Washington State to a 7-5 record which included wins over then-ranked Wisconsin and the Colorado State Rams in non-conference play.
The LA Bowl will be broadcast on ABC, kicking off at 1:30 PM Mountain/12:30 PM Pacific.
