Air Force and Fresno State getting considered.
The 2021 college football season is in the books with Georgia claiming its first national title since 1980 by thumping Alabama. With the season is over, the final rankings are out from the Associated Press and the Mountain West does have some representation at the end of the rankings.
The two in the poll are the two best from the Mountain West with Utah State at No. 24 and San Diego State at the 25th spot. Air Force and Fresno State did earn a few votes for each of their good seasons the teams had.
This year was a bit different with how Utah State came out of nowhere to win the title as preseason expectations had them fifth in the Mountain Division. That is what makes college football great with how with a new coach and players things can drastically change.
