It’s been a season to forget for both Colorado State and for Air Force. Not only are both not going to a bowl game but both are coming off of heartbreaking, last-second losses. This final game on Thanksgiving is about pride and sending the seniors out the right way.
Colorado State’s season can be summed up in one word, inconsistent. Their last game against Utah State was probably the most complete game that they played all year but it still wasn’t enough to come away with a W. The Rams will have to have another outstanding defensive effort against Air Force and find a way to shut down the triple-option. The defense faired well earlier this year against New Mexico who runs a similar offense.
Air Force isn’t the same offensively despite being the top rushing attack in the Mountain West. The issue is that it’s been a revolving door at quarterback. While they’ve settled on Donald Hammond III, the defense needs work and has been ineffective at closing out games.
