How high can Nevada climb in the polls?
The Nevada Wolf Pack rolled through the Las Vegas Invitational during Feast Week and those wins pushed them to No. 5 in the latest AP poll. Being ranked fifth that marks the schools highest ranking ever for the school.
The Wolf Pack moved up after Tennessee fell to Kansas and the Volunteers dropped one spot to sixth. Nevada is 6-0 on the year but they will be tested over the next two weeks as non-conference play heats up.
The much-anticipated rematch from last year’s Sweet 16 game against Loyola-Chicago is a road game on Tuesday night.
Nevada then heads to Southern California for a road game vs. USC on Saturday and then a week later head back to the area to play a neutral site game at the Staples Center vs. Arizona State. Those games will give the Wolf Pack a few nice tests and according to KenPom, Nevada is favored in all of those games.
