Colorado State and Air Force have both lost the first two games of conference play. So, somebody will be moving up the standings after Tuesday. The Falcons lost to New Mexico and Utah State, while the Rams lost to UNLV and Fresno State.

The Rams looked to have put a lot of things behind them against the Rebels only to see it fall apart and lose on a goaltending call. Things seemed to stay with them, as a horrible first half against Fresno cost them any shot of a win. CSU will have to put together a complete game to pick up the win.
Colorado State is led by the Three Musketeers: Nico Carvacho, Jeremiah Paige, and Anthony Masinton-Bonner. The offense needs to run through Carvacho who is averaging 15.5 ppg and 12.9 rpg (which leads the nation). Paige averages 15.4 ppg, 4.6 rpg. and 2.3 apg. Sharpshooter Masinton-Bonner chips in 13.8 ppg, shooting 40% from deep.

The Air Force Falcons run the Princeton offense. And when it works, it works. When it doesn’t, it doesn’t. The Falcons have been on the losing side of the equation for a good portion of this season. The Air Force offense seems to flow through only two players, so the Falcons will need to spread the love in order to be effective.
The Falcons are led by Lavelle Scottie and Ryan Swan. Scottie, a 6’7″ forward, averages 12.7 ppg and 5.0 rpg. Swan, also a 6’7″ forward, chips in 12.2 ppg and 5.8 rpg. No one else on the team averages above seven points per game. Air Force will need someone to shoulder some of the load, if they want to win.
The Colorado State Rams will have the height advantage in this matchup, as the Falcons have only two players taller than 6’7″ and they don’t play that much. CSU needs to take advantage and run the offense through Carvacho. The Falcons will need to pester Carvacho on defense and make life miserable for him in order to pick up the victory.
