The Falcons are headed to Texas.
The Air Force Falcons are bowling for the eleventh time in Troy Calhoun’s tenure and will head to Texas for a unique postseason matchup.
Air Force will face the Louisville Cardinals in the SERVPRO First Responders Bowl on Tuesday, December 28, in news first broken by Action Network’s Brett McMurphy. It marks the second time a Mountain West program has appeared in this game, though the first was marred by a thunderstorm which would eventually lead to the game’s cancelation back in 2018.
The Falcons finished the regular season with a 9-3 record, including a 6-2 record in Mountain West play that was good enough to finish second in the Mountain division.
Louisville, meanwhile, finished 6-6 overall with a 4-4 record in conference action, good for a fourth-place finish in the ACC Atlantic division. They boast one of the nation’s most explosive quarterbacks in Malik Cunningham, however, and should make for a solid test.
The First Responder Bowl will be broadcast on ESPN, kicking off at 1:15 PM Mountain/12:15 PM Pacific.
