Hammond III Declares

It appears that Spring Practice isn’t the only news circulating around the Air Force Football program in February. After months of silence following his entrance into the NCAA’s Transfer Portal, Donald Hammond III has officially announced that he will be entering the NFL Draft.

Prior to his announcement today, any projections on his landing destination were little more than guesses. Hammond III hasn’t actively communicated anything publically regarding his decision during this silent interlude until now, nor had any schools openly declared pursuit.

What didn’t need further explanation was this young man’s arm strength or his ability to help win games. Even though 2019 was the last time the QB played, it was in grand fashion knocking off Washington State in the Cheeze-It Bowl. In doing so, he helping lead the Falcons to their first ever 11 win season.

The Mountain West Wire will be covering potential draft prospects for each of the Conferences Team’s in greater detail as we get closer to the NFL Draft, this includes the Falcons. Until then, at least we know if the now former Air Force standout will be playing football this fall, it’s going to be as a professional.
