With the 2020 season in doubt, we all need something to take our minds of the possibility of no football. We already took a look at the offense and defense for Colorado State. Now let’s look at the top 10 players who will be on the field for the Rams.

10. Rashad Ajayi, CB

Rashad Ajayi comes into the 2020 season as the Rams number one cornerback. He was bit by the injury bug last season and only played in six games. Ajayi had a great freshman season, where he had 33 tackles, two forced fumbles, and an interception returned for a touchdown. If he can get back to that form, Ajayi has the chance to be one of the top corners in the conference.

9. Ryan Stonehouse, P

Ryan Stonehouse is coming for the Ray Guy award and he won’t let anyone stand in his way. Last season he averaged 46.41 yards per punt, with 16 of them going for more than 50 yards. His five touchbacks also helped the Rams punt coverage unit average 42.45 net yards per punt, the sixth best figure in the nation last season. Stonehouse has more in his leg and has the chance to be the best punter in the nation.

8. Ellison Hubbard, DT

The Rams leader on the interior is back for another season of terrorizing offensive lines. He didn’t put up the flashiest totals last season with just 29 tackles and 5.5 sacks, but his consistent effort had him in the backfield constantly. Hubbard will look to be a stamp on his career with the Rams and go out with a bang.

7. Logan Stewart, S

The senior safety will look to step into the shoes of Jamal Hicks as the leader of the Rams secondary. Stewart had a good season last year with 76 tackles, two interceptions, and a sack. He will look to improve on those numbers and help the Rams keep their top 10 ranked pass defense from last season.

6. Manny Jones, DE

The terror on the outside. Manny Jones has consistently improved in his time at Colorado State going from 35 tackles and two sacks his first year, to 54 tackles and five sacks last season. Jones earned honorable mention All-Mountain West after last season and will look to push for higher honors this year.
